Over the weekend,Eric Falk a big deal was made about an actor having a job bagging groceries at a supermarket.
That actor was The Cosby Show'sGeoffrey Owens, who was featured in a so-called story by the Daily Mail and Fox News for doing what many of us do in order to survive.
SEE ALSO: This viral Twitter story is the perfect reminder that it's never too late to chase a dreamHe was snapped by a passer-by at a New Jersey Trader Joe's, and the photo was published in what seemed a rather spiteful attempt to shame a person doing an honest day's work — even if they might be famous.
Owens is still acting, appearing recently in Elementaryand Lucifer, his IMDb CV filled with various roles over the years. But it goes without saying that work in the entertainment industry is sporadic, and other jobs are simply necessary to get by.
It's a reality that's been echoed by other celebrities and actors, who wrote about their other jobs outside of acting on Twitter.
