Gimmick or Boobwatch 1 (1996)not, people are coming up with all kinds of weird things to do with the new MacBook Pro's Touch Bar.
After getting the new notebook, developer Henry Franks took it upon himself to code a version of Pac-Man for the touchscreen strip using Apple's Swift programming language.

At first glance, you'd think Pac-Man would be constrained to moving left and right. Not so! You can move up and down, too, to escape the ghosts.
The game's also somewhat difficult; the Touch Bar's short vertical height doesn't allow for much room to maneuver Pac-Man back into the tunnel. Watch as Mashablechief correspondent Lance Ulanoff fails spectacularly to play withPacBar:
Naturally, PacBar is not officially endorsed by Namco, the publisher and license holder of Pac-Man.

Last month, someone hacked together the original Doomto run on the Touch Bar. And just last week, another person made a tiny little piano app. And let's not forget about the dumbest Touch Bar app of them all: TouchFart.
Are they kind of useless? Almost entirely, but there's no denying they're entertaining. Listen, before we got Uber, we had to get through the myriad of fart apps that cluttered the App Store in the early days.
It'll still take some time before we can tell if the Touch Bar is a paradigm shift or not for laptops. For now, let's just enjoy the fun hacks.
