Hello. Remember BFFs Taylor Swift and matthew knowles eroticized rageLorde?
Remember when Tay threw Lorde an amazing 20th birthday party fit for a queen? Or when she broke her social media hiatus justto promote her BFF Lorde's new song? Or when Lorde crashed Taylor's concert just because they're best friends and she could?
Lorde said,
The second you think too hard about it, you just start to go insane. So it's best to just be like, "We're in wonderland, and that's just what happens around here. Like, also, I don't hang out with these people at all.
"I. Don't. Hang. Out. With. These. People. At. All." (Periods, ours)
Huh. Okay, well, maybe she didn't mean it like that. Maybe she didn't mean "at all," but instead "not that often because we're all just sooo busy being famous pop stars."
But then, when the interviewer interjected to remind Lorde that she was a part of T-Swift's ultra-famous girl squad, she rolled her eyes and said,
You know, you make friends in different places, but I think for the most part I'm not, like, calling my idols for advice necessarily.
Excuse me...what does that even mean?
What's happening to the squad? Did these two have a falling out? Has Lorde out-ranked Tay? Is the world officially upside down?
We need time to mourn and think this over.
