November 6 is also known to fans as Stranger Things day— it's the day Will Byers went missing in 1983, as shown in Season 1. To commemorate the moment, Netflix is revealing tantalizing new details about its upcoming fourth season.
The big news: Set in 1986 and arriving on our screens sometime in the summer of 2022, season 4 will be roaming far from the fictional town of Hawkins for the first time.
In a new teaser trailer, Eleven describes her experience at school on the west coast. We learn it's about to be spring break and she's writing a letter to (a much older-looking) Mike, who is set to visit.
Naturally, the teaser concludes with quick flashes of all hell breaking loose for the kids.

Netflix dropped more details throughout the day — including episode titles, some sneak peeks at the cast's looks for Season 4, and the first official map of Hawkins.

Without spoiling Season 3 for those who haven't seen it, it's fair to say that there are still some open questions about one character's fate — none of which were officially addressed on Stranger Thingsday. Still, excitement for the next run of episodes is mounting, considering Season 3 was a really fun return to form after a middling Season 2.
Given that the cast is growing up fast, there's also plenty of interest in how the kids are going to look. The fandom attached to Mike and Eleven's budding long-distance romance — the couple are known as Mileven for short — will be delighted that it seems central to the plot.

If you're dying for the new season, however, you'll just have to wait until summer. Netflix has offered no precise release date — not even on Stranger ThingsDay.
