Amazon is Sex Partner Who Is More Attracted to Married Womenquietly stepping up its delivery service game by unveiling The Hub, a new locker service designed for apartment blocks and multi-tenant dwellings.
SEE ALSO: Amazon Prime Day: Amazon’s not-so-secret plan to rule the retail worldThe company already has its own set of self-service parcel pickup called Amazon Locker, who are placed in stores like 7-Eleven in the US and Co-operative Food in the UK.
But The Hub is a more private option that seeks to solve one of the most achingly annoying problems for tenants in residential buildings.
Always accessible and open 24/7, The Hub is basically a set of lockers to receive and store packages from all carriers, not only Amazon's.
Just like with the Amazon Lockers, you just need to enter the pickup code into the touchscreen panel, and a door will open showing the item inside.
The Hub comes with an indoor and outdoor version in four colours, so it could be configured for your property. Sizes start from the Starter Hub, a 6-foot wide model with 42 compartments. There's also an expansion module available that adds another 23.
While the pricing remains unclear, those interested in installing it for their property are invited to fill out a form with details about the building.
The new feature is part of Amazon's continuing effort to control the logistics of the delivery chain's last-mile.
Earlier, Amazon reported its second quarter earnings showing a profit of just $197 million. a massive 77% decline from the $857 million profit from the same period a year earlier.
