British pop star Boy George is Watch The Florist Onlinetaking over the Waze app this month for Pride. The eighties icon will guide trips, share wisdom and life advice, and provide a driving playlist.
The Boy George experience, known as "Tea Time with Boy George," will be on the app starting Wednesday and be available through June 30. A curated playlist available on Spotify (which syncs with the Waze audio player) has tracks that encompass the spirit of Pride like acceptance, freedom of expression, and love. Each song was chosen from the artist behind hits like Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon."
Boy George is known for doling out advice including, "Listen to the music you love. Passion always eclipses what's fashionable.” The tracks on the list feature Nina Simone, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse, and Boy George himself.
To add the voice directions while driving this Pride month, open the Waze app. Under the search section select "Drive with Boy George" to open the "Tea Time" experience.
As part of the Pride takeover there'll be two new car icons, the "Car-ma Chameleon" and a "Goldsmobile." You can also choose from four new Waze "moods" for your driving icon: zesty, spicy, quirky, or fancy.
