The eroticism sexualState of the Union is one thing, the state of porn in D.C. is quite another.
As Donald Trump prepares to give his first State of the Union address on Tuesday night, porn site xHamster reports there's been quite a change in the way people are searching for porn in Washington since the President took office.
SEE ALSO: Surprise: Women watched more porn in 2017According to data released by the site (link NSFW, duh), searches for porn using the word "grope" are up by 334% during the Trump administration versus when Obama was in office.
It's an eye-opener, for sure (as is the sudden decrease in "leather" searches but that's a story for another time). And there's some basis in why that term has rocketed to the top of D.C.'s porn charts.
In the last several months, there have been a number of stories about groping in the news -- and several have had D.C. ties, from the Al Franken scandal to former president George H.W. Bush to the allegations that have followed Trump to the White House.
Past data from various porn platforms has shown that people often search for things that they read in headlines, be it golden showers, fidget spinners, or Meghan Markle. It seems the recent sexual misconduct scandals are no different.
What's more, the term actually saw a decrease in national searches, pegging it as something of a specialty in the D.C. area.
Stay tuned for next year's list, which is sure to have a lot of Russian and espionage-themed entries because what else could D.C. possibly be fixated on?
