With the way things have Dear Utol (2025): Catfish Episode 46been going lately, you might just want to crawl under a rock and hang there for a bit.
But what about crawling intoa rock?
Well, French artist Abraham Poincheval is living out that reality -- for seven full days. In a performance art piece called "Stone," Poincheval has wedged his body into a hole made for his body inside a large boulder, The Telegraphreports. He first entered the rock at the Palais de Tokyo museum in Paris on Wednesday and will remain inside there for a week, doing it all on a diet of soup cartons, other liquids and dried meat.

Rather than hiding away from the world, crawling into that rock is something that Poincheval is doing because he wants to know more about it. "I think of it as an inner journey to find out what the world is," he told the Paris-based Agence France-Presse.
His hole inside the boulder is human-shaped and fits his body like a glove.

He described himself to AFPas the "beating heart" of the rock. There are holes inside of the rock for him to breathe, with some also carrying cables for a heart monitor and an emergency telephone line. One thing that still isn't clear is how the artist plans to use the bathroom, a question he became "uncharacteristically evasive" about and apparently never really answered, according to AFP.
In a stranger twist, Poincheval plans to use his body warmth to bring about new life. For four weeks after, he will sit on a dozen eggs until they hatch, in a performance called "Egg." The brand new chicks, Poincheval said, "will go and live with my parents."

Those four weeks of hatching don't sound terribly easy, either, with Poincheval only taking a single half hour break each day. He plans to eat a ginger-rich diet so he can keep the eggs at a minimum of 98 degrees Fahrenheit.
Such commitment from the artist isn't too surprising, given his track record. He's shocked the world with an array of other awe-inspiring, often bizarre performances and projects, from once living inside a stuffed bear to developing pills that help make peoples' farts and other gases smell better, featuring scents like roses and chocolate.

There's no telling what Poincheval will do -- or really where he'll live -- next.
