Jason Isaacs is Drama Archivesbeaming up to Star Trek: Discovery, where he's been tapped to play Captain Lorca, the leader of the titular starship in CBS All Access' new series.
Discoverywill differ from previous installments of the franchise in that the ship's captain will not be the lead character of the series; the show's protagonist will instead be a lieutenant commander played by Sonequa Martin-Green.

In addition to Isaacs,Star Trek: Discoveryhas also cast Mary Wiseman as Tilly, a Starfleet Academy Cadet in her final year of study, assigned to the Starship Discovery.
They join Michelle Yeohas Captain Georgiou, leader of the Starship Shenzhou; Doug Jones as Lt. Saru; Anthony Rapp as Lt. Stamets; Chris Obi, Shazad Latif and Mary Chieffo as Klingon warriors; and James Frain as Spock's father, Sarek.
