The Horror Archivesfriend zone is a myth. It's a fictional safe space created by those who just can't accept when a friend isn't romantically attracted to them.
For those who insist that the friend zone is real, here's a lesson for you via the Twitterverse.

Here's what went down.
A Twitter user named Jiraiya tweeted pictures of pairs of cartoon and anime characters. In his opinion, all the male characters were being friend zoned.
Jiraiya probably didn't expect David Slack -- the writer who created the Teen Titans characters, Beast Boy and Terra -- to comment on this tweet.
Slack was none too pleased with Jiraiya's interpretation of the characters' friendship and schooled him on the basics of autonomy and genuine friendship.
Boom.
Well said, Slack.
