The former allows you to stop your membership from four weeks to six months. Your YouTube TV account will pause after the next billing date, and you won't be charged during the pause period.
By pausing, you keep current library recordings but you won't have access to YouTube TV or new recordings. All family accounts will be paused, as well. When the pause period is up, you will be charged and have access to all features again, or you can manually end the pause early and resume the membership whenever you'd like. If you'd rather pause your account, just click PAUSE.
Should you be set on canceling, however, you can do so on the bottom right with CANCEL MEMBERSHIP. YouTube will ask you the reason why you're canceling — like cost or missing shows — then you can finish the process by clicking CONTINUE CANCELING.
If you have an iPhone, visit tv.youtube.com on your browser, and follow the same steps described above.
Android users can cancel YouTube TV directly from Google's help site. Or, you can visit tv.youtube.com on your browser or open the YouTube TV app and follow the same steps.
After you cancel YouTube TV, you'll still have access until the current pay period ends. Then, recorded programs in your library will expire after 21 days.
YouTube will save your library preferences if you sign up again, but you may not have access to previous recordings or be eligible for promotions that apply to first-time subscribers.
Choosing your streaming service of choice is difficult, but at least canceling one that doesn't work for you is easy.
