Though the spelling of Kavanagh's name differs slightlyfrom the man who was recently accused of sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford, on Friday he tweeted, "This is a terrible time to be named Brett Kavanagh."
Many people replied to Kavanagh by laughing at the unfortunate circumstances or sharing empathetic messages, imagining the hell he's gone through the past few weeks.

They never asked to be a part of the public conversation, but once someone gains viral attention it's very common for those who share a name to feel the misplaced wrath online.
