LONDON -- Adele made her presidential pick for the upcoming U.S. election pretty clear last week.
During a performance at the American Airlines Arena in Miami,The Exotic Time Machine the British superstar declared a ringing endorsement for Hillary Clinton, who was at Adele's concert and also happened to be celebrating her 69th birthday.
However, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Adele elaborated on why she isn'tTeam Trump.
"We only know Trump from The Apprentice,” she's quoted as saying, “so we think a reality star is running for president.
"I just don’t think anybody should be building walls or shit like that right now. I think we need to look after each other."
While it appears that Adele has no lost love for the Donald, it would seem that the disapproval isn't mutual: the presidential hopeful has previously been spotted attending one of her concerts while on the campaign trail late last year.
Furthermore, Trump complained in a recent interview with ABC News, “I think it’s so unfair because, you know, Hillary Clinton goes to see an Adele concert last night, and everybody says, ‘Oh, wasn’t that nice, isn’t that wonderful?'"
The business mogul turned politician condemned Clinton's time off on the campaign trail as trivial and a sign of lagging stamina, protesting that his own time spent tending to business affairs catches unfair criticism in comparison.
"Nobody complains when she goes to an Adele concert all night long, while I’m making two speeches at rallies with, you know, massive crowds,” he adds.
Is that a hint of jealousy we detect, Donald?
