Two months before he died of cancer,Ava Fabian Archives the legendary NBA broadcaster Craig Sager gave his final television interview. His hair was gone and his face was emaciated.
But the luminous spirit that made him so beloved would not be dimmed.

Yet it's inspiring to see Sager maintain perspective, gratitude and some degree of joy while knowing he's at death's door. He's even dressed in one of his trademark jackets.

When Sager died last week, the basketball world mourned deeply. Just over a year ago, he'd been excited to get back to work following his initial bout with cancer. A "moment of joy" tribute before a nationally televised NBA game on Thursday night perfectly captured his essence.
Now his final interview is yet another testament to why Sager will never be forgotten by NBA fans.
