Apple added LTE connectivity to the Apple Watch with the new Series 3 this year,Watch Erotica Manila Episode 4 but the rollout of the feature hasn't exactly been a smooth process.
A review from The Vergecomplained of connectivity issues with the watch's LTE service, as writer Lauren Goode struggled to pick up any signal with the watch when she left her phone behind. Mashable's Lance Ulanoff didn't have any LTE headaches with his experience reviewing the device — but Apple moved quickly to comment on the complaint, admitting that there was a problem with the watch's software and promising a fix in future.
The fix is here: The company just pushed out a new software update, watchOS 4.0.1, that promises to patch up the spotty LTE connectivity.
The OS update's description says that it fixes the bug that causes the handoff issue, which occurs when the watch attempts to connect with unauthenticated public Wi-Fi networks in its range.
Instead of stubbornly failing to connect to public Wi-Fi, the watch should now stick strictly to LTE and secure, recognized Wi-Fi networks when it's untethered from an iPhone.
Apple claims the LTE problem was contained to a few "rare cases," but has issued a patch nonetheless. If you have a Series 3, you can download the new update on the Watch app, just in case.
