La La Land or "Hollywood Hand Job"?sex tube video
Honest Trailersthinks the movie's alternative title should be the later.
This week, the popular ScreenJunkies series from Defy Media poked fun at the nine Best Picture Oscar nominees with its classic trailer-spoof format.
"It's that time of the year when L.A.'s pretty narcissists use their awards to take shots at D.C.'s ugly narcissists," the voice says in the trailer. "As these nine films compete for Hollywood's highest honor because back when it was just five the Academy couldn't trick you into rooting for something you actually saw."
SEE ALSO: This Honest Trailer for 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory' is hilariously brutalThis year's Oscar-nominated films include: Arrival ("Amy Adams' second movie this year about trying to relate to an alien no one gets along with"), Lion ("If you say you’ve seen this, you’re probably lyin'")Hell or High Water (the film that features "that one grizzled cowboy voice Jeff Bridges does"), Moonlight (retitled "All of the Oscar Things"), Manchester by the Sea (in which Casey Affleck plays “a hard-drinking, irritable Boston man living in the shadow of his more successful older brother"), Hacksaw Ridge ("enjoy the brief window of time before Mel Gibson burns his bridge to Hollywood again"), Fences (featuring "how much acting you could fit into one movie"), Hidden Figures (retitled “Diary of a Black Math Woman”) and La La Land ("ugh man the Academy just can't resist a movie about how special the movies are, can they?").
Even President Donald Trump gets mocked. The video features some of his tweets mocking Hollywood.
This is not the first time Honest Trailers has made fun of an awards show.
Last year, after being nominated for an Emmy for outstanding short form variety series, Honest Trailers spoofed the Emmys, too.
The Screen Junkies channel has over 5.9 million subscribers.
Since being uploaded on Tuesday, the Oscars spoof has amassed over 1.7 million views.
